Official Record Contacts

Cole County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Direct those requests to the government custodian listed below.

County Jail and Sheriff Records

For a current county-custody question, begin with the Cole County Inmate Search Portal. For a record that is not visible there, ask the sheriff’s office or jail to identify the current records custodian and the accepted written-request method. The county has not published a distinct booking-photo request form, records email, photo fee, or production deadline.

The Support Services civil section lists Monday through Friday hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those hours should not be treated as jail booking-desk hours. Call first to confirm the right custodian, office hours, delivery format, and any estimate.

  • For a current booking entry, use the live county portal and record the booking number and arresting agency.
  • For a sheriff record or booking photograph, submit a dated written request under Missouri Chapter 610 to the records custodian.
  • For a filed Cole County case or court document, use Missouri Case.net and the circuit clerk.
  • For an arrest by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, use its arrest-report search or records route.
  • For active Missouri state custody or supervision, use the Missouri DOC offender search.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator rather than the county jail roster.

Court and Notice Channels

The Cole County Criminal/Traffic Division is at 301 E. High Street, Room 206, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Its telephone is 573-634-9150, option 1, and its mailing address is P.O. Box 1870, Jefferson City, MO 65102. Court records describe filings and dispositions, while the sheriff retains the county booking record. The circuit clerk’s copy-request route is separate from a jail photo request.

For custody or court-event notifications, Missouri’s MOVANS system is an additional registration path. It is not a public booking-photo repository. The county-wide records lookup explains how the county roster, court search, and records request fit together.
